Requests are not orders
Submitting an inquiry or audit request does not create an appointment, payment obligation, or service agreement. Work begins only after Contempo confirms fit and timing, both parties accept the written scope, and any required initial payment is received.
Scope and changes
Each engagement identifies the outcome, deliverables, exclusions, responsibilities, timing, price, third-party costs, access permissions, and acceptance method. Work outside that boundary requires written agreement before it begins.
Find the Friction audit
The $450 audit covers one bounded recurring workflow: pre-session intake, one 75-minute remote working session, a written workflow/friction assessment delivered within three business days after that session, one round of factual corrections, and a 20-minute findings handoff. Implementation, migrations, account changes, subscriptions, and professional legal, tax, HR, regulatory, or security certification are not included.
Payment
Payment timing and method appear on the invoice or written scope. Third-party subscriptions, platform fees, taxes, and pass-through expenses are separate unless explicitly included. Monthly care does not renew automatically unless the written agreement expressly says it does.
Scheduling, cancellation, and refunds
Audit sessions may be rescheduled without charge when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided. An audit cancelled before the working session receives a full refund of the audit fee. Once the working session begins, completed audit work is non-refundable. Other projects use the cancellation and milestone terms in their written scope.
Client responsibilities
The client provides timely, accurate information; identifies an authorized decision-maker; reviews consequential outputs; maintains appropriate backups; and confirms rights to any material supplied. Delays in access, feedback, or decisions may move the schedule.
Human control and access
Contempo does not assume authority over accounts, publication, customer promises, financial decisions, or other consequential actions. Any account access or external action requires explicit task-specific permission. Credentials should use least privilege and be revoked when no longer needed.
Ownership and third-party tools
The written scope identifies the deliverables transferred to the client and any reusable Contempo methods, templates, or pre-existing materials that remain with Contempo. Third-party software, models, services, licenses, and terms remain the responsibility of their respective providers.
No guaranteed business result
Contempo will perform the agreed work with reasonable care, but does not guarantee revenue, savings, rankings, uninterrupted third-party services, or a particular business outcome. Measurement plans distinguish observed results from projections.
Problems and recovery
If something is materially wrong, notify Contempo promptly with enough detail to reproduce or understand it. The first remedy is correction, recovery, or a mutually agreed adjustment within the written scope.
Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to hello@contempo.services.
If these terms conflict with a signed proposal, statement of work, or invoice accepted for a project, the project-specific written agreement controls for that engagement.
